Numberplate JP 243. It appears he entered this in both the Scottish and Welsh rallies, although it is not clear if he drove the car himself in those. In this photo he is in the passenger seat, and the car has just passed over Garron Bridge, Inveraray, Scotland. The Railton marque was used between 1933 and 1939, so the photos probably date to the 1930's)
