On the night of 30 March 1851 Eliza is living at Hay Cross, Woodchurch, Canterbury, Kent with her husband James Butcher and their four children. A few doors away are James's parents, James and Mary.

By the night of 7 April 1861 Eliza and her family have moved 42 miles away to Prinkham House, Lingfield, Kent. Her husband James Butcher's parents have also moved, and now they are next door.

By the night of 2 April 1871 they have moved to 3 Upper Denmark Street, Ashford, Kent, and her mother Elizabeth Prebble (nee Vincer) is living with them. Eliza will still be residing in that location on the night of 3 April 1881 and the night of 5 April 1891, but by 1891 they are alone in the house.

Today 3 Upper Denmark Road can be seen to not be a very big house - a small terraced house, next to #1 which is set on a corner and is currently a fish and chip shop.
