The plane appears, from what little we can see of it, to be a Vought F4U Corsair. While this was an American made plane, the (British) Royal Navy did have significant numbers of these. The location is unknown, but Geoff had been stationed at both RAF Milfield (Northumberland) and RAF Fairwood Common (Swansea).)
