George Prebble was the father of William Prebble (who was baptised on the 17th October 1797 in Stowting, Kent), his wife at that time was called Elizabeth.
Birth
George Prebble was baptised in Lyminge, Kent, on the 31st October 1773, his parents were James and Elisabeth.
This matches the burial records of George Prebble in Mersham in 1856, where he was 82 (if these are both correct dates then he would have been 82 and 3 months old)

First Marriage
George Prebble married Elizabeth Noble in 1796 at Brabourne, which is the next village to Stowting which is where William Prebble was born.

In the presences of William Noble and William Prebble. The register gives no location apart from having "Brabourne 1754" written on the cover.

Elisabeth Prebble died and was buried in Lymminge, Kent on the 26th Feb 1806. It is unclear why she would be buried there though, as her son George's birth shows that they had moved to Mersham in 1801, and her husband married again in Mersham.

One George Prebble married a Rhoda Cunley on the 4th November 1807 in Mersham, Kent.

On the night of 30 March 1851, George was still living in Mersham (road unknown) with Rhoda, and several of his sons. He was a carpenter & wheelwright, who employed 3 men.
Death
George Prebble died on the 1st February 1856 at Mersham (Canterbury Journal - 16th February 1856)
George Prebble, living in Mersham, was buried in Mersham, Kent on the 9th February 1856 at the age of 82 years old.
