In the 1880 US census, Charles Watson (senior) is visiting America - or at least a Charles Watson, born ~1836 in Sweden, is registered at Port Gamble on the Kitsap peninsula in Washington State (high on the West Coast). I haven't got all the details for this though - just the summary.
