Their daughter [[Janet Hunter]], David's second wife has died at this time, possibly as a result of complications of childbirth.

According to the 1841 census of Torryburn, Helen Hunter (nee Anderson) was 60 years old (quantised to 5 year intervals). Which would put her birth at around 1781 to 1776. She lived with her husband John Hunter, an agricultural labourer in Torry & New Mills Pans.


Birth

A Helen Anderson was born to parents Robert Anderson and Helen Robertson in Torryburn on the 29th September 1780 (according to the parish registers).

Marriage

She married John Hunter.

Children

They had the following children:

  • Janet Hunter, born 26th July 1812 in Torryburn, Fife, Scotland.

On the night of 6 June 1841, John and Helen Hunter were living at Torry & New Mills Pans.
