Elizabeth Bartram (sometimes Bertram) was born in around 1819 in Wymondham, Norfolk. She married a John Smith and they had a daughter called Phoebe Smith.

Birth

She was baptised on the 5th September 1819 at Wymondham in Norfolk. Her father was Isaac Bartram and her mother was Phoebe Gay. Their abode was Bridewell Street, Wymondham and her father was a Husbandman.

Marriage

Elizabeth married John Smith probably between 1835 (when she was 16) and 1841 (the birth of the first child we know of).

There is one potential record of such a marriage BMD:M: Elizabeth Bartram, Dec 1838, Norwich, 13, 635 - certificate on order. This page also has a John Smith on it. However, note that the register only started in 1837, so it is possible that if this is not the correct entry then the marriage predates registration.

On the night of 6 June 1841 she was living with her husband in Mill Street in the Hamlet of Lakenham, in Norwich. Interestingly, next door was the family of her parents Isaac and Phebe Bartram.

On the night of 7 April 1861 Elizabeth was living with her husband and family at Hall Road, Road Side (Pendell/Pendise Row), Lakenham

Death

The death of an Elizabeth Smith (age 62) was registered in Q1, 1884 in Norwich, vol 4b, page 80.

Other Records

Annoyingly there is another possible set of parents for Elizabeth, as there was an Elizabeth Bartram who was christened on the 25th April 1820 in Wymondham whose parents were John Bartram and Ann Payne/Pain. However, luckily, in the 1841 census there is an Isaac Bartram and Phebe Bartram living next door to Elizabeth Smith, so this makes it highly probable that Isaac and Phebe are Elizabeth parents.
