Birth

John Clarke (or Clark) was born August 1816 in Kirstead, Norfolk.

The census gives his year of birth as roughly 1817 and variously in Kirstead or Seething (which are neighbouring).

He was baptised on the 25th August 1816, the son of William Clarke (Labourer) and Elizabeth Smith at Kirstead.

Marriage

John married Mary Ann Mayhew in Shotesham All Saints (both of this parish) on the 28th April 1840. Shotesham borders Kirstead.


On the night of 6 June 1841 John was living with his wife Mary at Woodton Hall, Woodton, Norfolk. He was an agricultural labourer.


On the night of 30 March 1851 John was living with his family at the parish of Shotesham All Saints, Norfolk.


On the night of 7 April 1861 John was living with his family at Stubbs Green, Shotesham All Saints, Norfolk.
