Robert Chettleburgh was baptised in Caister St Edmund (a village just South of Lakenham) around on the 18th May 1788, but may have been born much earlier as the baptism mentions that he was 17 at the time, which would put his year of birth at around 1771 (the same as his future wife).

His parents were William Chettleburgh and Tabitha Trower.

One Robert Chettleburgh was listed in the electoral register as living at St Peter of Mancroft, Norwich in 1797, he was listed as a haberdasher.

Marriage

Robert married Elizabeth Burgoine in Lakenham on 18th February 1806.

• William Chettleburgh (Uncle to William Chettleburgh), born 22nd March 1812

Death

He died sometime before the 1851 census where his wife Elizabeth was listed as being widowed.
