Evelyn Carter was born on the 15th May 1923 at Kingston, Canterbury in Kent. Her parents were George Wyndham Carter and Mabel Louisa Agnes Fox.
On 27th October 1942 she married Jack Francis at Stoney Cross. They had three children, Terry, Jenny, and Margaret.
She died on the 26th of March 1998, aged 74, a few days after hearing of the birth of her first great-grandson.
